WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 3) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that attorney Erica Dominitz was recently appointed to serve a two-year term on the D.C. Bar Community Economic Development Pro Bono Project Advisory Committee.
The Advisory Committee provides oversight for the Pro Bono Program’s Community Economic Development Project, which makes pro bono corporate and transactional legal services available to community-based nonprofits working to strengthen the District’s low-income neighborhoods. The project also conducts periodic clinics to assist small disadvantaged businesses, and offers seminars and training sessions for potential clients and volunteer attorneys.
Ms. Dominitz focuses her practice on insurance coverage issues. She has experience representing corporate policyholders in insurance coverage matters, both in negotiations with insurance companies and in litigation at the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts. Ms. Dominitz has represented corporate policyholders in a wide range of matters, including disputes concerning coverage for property damage and business interruption losses resulting from hurricanes, terrorist attacks, fires, explosions, and other events, and for liability arising from alleged environmental harm and directors’ and officers’ activities.Â
