MENLO PARK, CALIFORNIA (June 26) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Dennis Chang to the firm’s Silicon Valley office. Mr. Chang joins the firm as an associate on the Mechanical and Medical Devices Team in the internationally recognized Intellectual Property Department.

Mr. Chang, who was previously with Carr & Ferrell LLP, has a strong background in intellectual property matters focusing on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications, strategic intellectual property planning and patent portfolio management. He brings expertise across a wide range of technical disciplines including consumer products, cleantech, and computer software.

Mr. Chang earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Intellectual Property. He earned his M.S. in biomedical engineering and his B.S. in biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Before law school, Mr. Chang conducted research for the University of Texas at Arlington and for a pharmaceutical company.
