ATLANTA (July 11) Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Mark Barrish, Jim Ewing, and Darin Gibby were selected as Life Science Stars in the inaugural edition of LMG Life Sciences. The selection process involved over 1,000 online surveys and interviews with nearly 600 attorneys in the United States, as well as a review of public information and feedback from clients within the industry. The qualitative process of peer opinion, market feedback and independent research resulted in a final list of high-profile, sought-after attorneys working in life sciences.
Mr. Barrish, a partner in the firm’s Silicon Valley office and co-leader of the firm's Medical & Surgical Devices industry area, focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling. His experience includes developing patent portfolios for growing companies, primarily in the medical device field.
Mr. Ewing, a partner in the firm’s Atlanta and Silicon Valley offices, focuses his legal practice on intellectual property strategy, patent litigation and patent portfolio prosecution and management. His life science work includes clients in surgical navigation systems, wound management and orthopedic implants.
Mr. Gibby, a partner in the firm’s Denver office, is the author of Why Has America Stopped Inventing? He focuses his practice on intellectual property counseling, transactions and licensing matters. Mr. Gibby’s life science work includes clients in biotechnology, drug delivery and medical devices.
